Urgent Prayer Request
"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20

Update:

They removed the breathing tube yesterday and he has been sitting up in a chair some. As of last night, He was trying to talk to Mom and Mandy but, His throat is probably pretty sore from having all of the tubes in there. He is starting to become more alert and he knows family. Today should be yet another big day for him since the tube thing is all gone. He really hates being there . I am almost sure that if he keeps doing well that he cold be home soon, hope before thanksgiving. Will keep you posted.

Dear Friends & Family,

Some may already be aware that my father, Dave Endres, was recently involved in a very serious accident at our family farm. Making a complex and gruesome story markedly shorter and less explicit -- my dad became trapped underneath a piece of heavy equipment and has sustained extremely critical injuries to his head and chest. He is currently in the Methodist Hospital Trauma Center's intensive care unit in an induced coma while on multiple elements of life-support apparatus. He is literally fighting for his life.

He is blessed with state-of-the-art science, advanced technology, and modern medicine, which has been partnered with an amazing outpour of genuinely caring compassion from friends and family -- both near and far. If you are so inclined, please be so kind as to add my father's name to your personal prayer list and/or to any prayer chain of which you may be a member or aware at your church, among your network of friends, etc. Also, please do not hesitate to share this information with others you believe may have an interest in it. My family would be very grateful for him to be included in fervent prayers and positive thoughts. The outcome of these circumstances truly rests in the hands of God.

Prayer is powerful medicine!

With heartfelt gratitude,
-Debra Jo & Family

Also please pray for Brandon and Tammy Lawson and family for the loss of their son. Pray for strength and comfort.

Always imitate the behavior of the winner when you lose.

"Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire. It is a grand passion. It seizes a person whole and, once it has done so, he will have to accept that his life will be radically changed."

With the new fairgrounds, there will be new challenges. While the leadership is trying to have everything planned, we may have to adjust the way we handle things. Good attitudes will be critical to having a successful fair. A successful fair is one where every youth member participating has the chance to do their best and is shown respect and admiration for having done that best.

Parents, youth and volunteers are all partners in this process. Join us in making 2006 a great Fair.
